Martina Meritz

Licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts, in the Southern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Martina D. Meritz was born in Claremont California, then raised in Helotes/San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1995 and attended Trinity University while playing on the Trinity Women’s Tennis Team. Following her undergraduate studies, Martina went to law school at Catholic University in Washington DC where she graduated in 2002.

Since 2002, Martina has worked in litigation and has tried cases and litigated matters in a variety of causes from breach of contract, product liability, premises liability, negligence, employment law, non-subscriber cases, auto and trucking liability, family law, and wills and estates.

Martina is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts, in the Southern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Martina worked as an intern for Susan Reed and the District Attorney’s office in San Antonio as well as an intern for Judge Patricia Broderick of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She then worked at Gannon & Biggs, PC, and Gannon & Garcia, LLP, as an associate. Martina transitioned to the senior associate and Partner for Paul Garcia & Associates, PC and specialized in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance defense prior to becoming a partner and manager of Meritz & Reddy, PLLC.

On a personal note, Martina remains an active women’s tennis player. She has a young son and daughter, and she is a breast cancer survivor. Martina refers to herself as a nerd who has a love of history and constitutional law.
